Job Overview: 

As a Mammography Technologist working at the Thomas Center, you play a vital role in supporting early detection, accurate diagnosis, and lifechanging outcomes for the patients and families we serve by performing highquality screening and diagnostic mammography, guided procedures, specimen imaging, and bone density scans under the direction of a Radiologist and supervision of leadership. You follow ACR appropriateness criteria and physicianapproved protocols while maintaining annual competencies, ensuring accurate EMR documentation, and upholding FDA/ACR quality assurance standards. In this fastpaced environment, you collaborate with radiologists, surgical teams, and staff to provide compassionate, patientcentered care, maintain equipment functionality and safety standards, support infection prevention practices, assist with records management, and contribute to student education and onboarding. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with flexibility to travel as needed, maintain ARRT and ODH licensure, meet continuing education requirements, and obtain mammography certification within 12 months, all while adhering to ASRT practice standards.

Hourly Incentives & Bonus:

$10K Sign on Bonus - 2 year agreement 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Allied Health (Required) 
  • Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) 
  • Other This position is required to meet the minimum continuing educational requirements established by the state of Ohio and is required to maintain ARRT and ODH licensure. Required

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides for patient, family, and staff comfort and care prior to, during, and after a procedure.
  • Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergent situations.
  • Maintains accurate records through the completion of all paperwork. 
  • Work is completed before submitting it.
  • Demonstrates the ability to consistently produce and evaluate screening and diagnostic mammography for radiological interpretation.
  • Demonstrates organizational and communication skills to promote the well-being of the department. 
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members.
  • Demonstrates competency through ongoing CBE's. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and its operating procedures through CBE's. 
  • Selects proper imaging protocols and follows departmental procedures.
