About this role

We’re searching for a Coding Compliance Manager— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will effectively manage the coding and auditing process so that Hospital claims are coded in a timely manner and according to coding guidelines. You’ll effectively manage accounts holding for coding and review processes for accuracy. You’ll also maintain consistent, timely, and compliant coding practices.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Manages and oversees all coding staff and activities. 
•    Performs/manages audit and review of medical records process to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines and coding guidelines. 
•    Participates in performance improvement initiatives to meet hospital, departmental, and area goals and strategies. Documents the performance improvement and measures success as reported quarterly to Director.

•    Conducts NCCI Edits and Medical Audit Reviews.

Skills & Requirements
•    Required H.S. Diploma or GED. A bachelor's degree will substitute for 4 years of experience
•    Required Licenses/Certifications
•    CCA - Certified Coding Associate American Health Information Management Association 
•    CCC-P - Cert Coding Spec-physician American Health Information Management Association 
•    CCS - Cert-cert Coding Specialist by the American Health Information Management Association 
•    CIPC - Certified Inpatient Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders
•    COC - Certified Outpatient Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders
•    CPC - Cert-cert Professional Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders
•    CPC-A - Cert Prof Coder - Apprentice by the American Academy of Professional Coders
•    RHIA - Cert-reg Health Inform. Admins by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
•    Required 7 Years experience coding inpatient and outpatient records using the most current coding systems
