Position Details
- Owns and executes the connectivity strategy across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with quality, schedule, and compliance requirements
- Develops and maintains standard operating procedures, installation standards, and quality criteria
- Leads evaluation and selection of technologies, systems, and vendor solutions to support project needs
- Manages and develops internal teams, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight
- Serves as escalation point for complex technical issues, quality concerns, and scope decisions
- Leads contractor selection, onboarding, and performance management, ensuring adherence to scope, standards, and contractual requirements
- Establishes and monitors performance expectations and key metrics for vendor partners
- Oversees subcontractor performance, including issue resolution, compliance, and change management
- Coordinates material planning and logistics across multiple projects to ensure timely delivery
- Reports project status, risks, and milestones to leadership and stakeholders
- Communicates schedule impacts, scope gaps, and quality risks, providing recommended mitigation strategies
- Supports forecasting and budget management for connectivity-related scope
- Leads quality assurance activities, including inspections, testing, and validation of results
- Reviews and approves documentation, including test results, as-built drawings, and closeout packages
- Identifies systemic quality issues and drives corrective actions to improve processes and outcomes
- Participates in design reviews and provides input on system design, constructability, and standards compliance
- Reviews and approves design documents, specifications, and project requirements prior to execution
- Manages the RFI process, including tracking, resolution, and coordination with design teams
- Promotes and enforces safety standards across all activities and teams
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned and best practice development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in business, computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience
- 10+ years of experience with structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure in data center or mission-critical environments
- Demonstrated experience managing connectivity scope across multiple simultaneous projects at a program level
- Deep technical proficiency in fiber optic testing: OTDR, OLTS, end-face inspection, MPO/MTP polarity and with experience troubleshooting complex system-level faults
- Experience leading internal technical teams and managing structured cabling subcontractors, including involvement in vendor selection and contract management
- Comprehensive knowledge of TIA-568, TIA-942, ANSI/BICSI 002, NEC Article 770, and CSI Division 27 specifications
- Experience participating in design reviews and influencing cabling architecture decisions upstream of construction
- Experience authoring or contributing to SOPs, installation standards, and QA/QC frameworks
- Proficiency with MS Suite, Procore, Primavera P6, COINS
- BICSI RCDD or DCDC certification strongly preferred
- FOA CFOS/D (Data Center Specialist) or equivalent preferred
- Manufacturer-level certifications (Corning CCT, CommScope, Panduit, or equivalent) preferred
- Experience delivering connectivity scope on hyperscale or colocation data center programs preferred
- Experience with OSP deployments in data center campus environments preferred
- Primavera P6 proficiency preferred
- OSHA 30 certification preferred

Pay: Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For (Colorado/New York City/California/Washington/Maryland) this ranges from $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement, program as outlined above.
