Manager - Laboratory III

Magee Womens Research Institute (MWRI) is the largest research institute in the US dedicated to women's health and reproductive biology.  Prior experience working in a clinical setting is preferred.

Directs daily laboratory operations of a division, department, function, or program. Conducts and manages quality assurance and quality control and instructs staff on quality control and analytical procedures. Develops independent design projects and laboratory procedures and evaluates new products. Writes grant applications. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations.

Directs daily laboratory operations of a division, department, function, or program, including conducting and overseeing quality assurance and quality control.
    
Supervises staff and/or department, including hiring, distributing and reviewing work, performance reviews, and documenting disciplinary actions and other human resource administration. Manages work schedules and approves timecards. Provides professional development opportunities.   
    
Develops and designs projects and laboratory procedures at an independent level. Researches and evaluates new products/equipment. 
    
Prepares data and writes grant applications/manuscripts. 
    
Keeps accurate and timely data log books.  
    
Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations for waste disposal. 
   
Instructs staff on and ensures quality control and analytical procedures.
