Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Manager of Sterile Processing to join the team! This role will be Full-time Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Perioperative Support Specialist Job Responsibilities:
The Sterile Processing Manager directs and manages all aspects of care relating to the support and environmental elements of Sterile Processing and Perioperative Materials Management including staff and performance improvement, cost controls, budget preparation,
Lean process improvement, and materials management.
Collaborates with all customers while facilitating all service line productivity goals. Ensures effective and timely procedural set-ups, transports, availability and proper functioning of equipment, environmental cleaning, and sanitation.
Manages all areas of responsibility such as the monitoring of the Sterile Processing department shift supervisors by ensuring that they maximize staff efficiencies and productivity while complying with infection control policies and OSHA, AAMI, AORN and The Joint Commission standards.
Works with the Perioperative Services Manager or other designated leaders in evaluating products, negotiating contracts, acquisitions, training, and support of equipment/supplies. Coordinates equipment service, deliveries, installations, and necessary facility renovations/repairs.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or High School diploma or equivalent and 4 additional years of experience (6 total)
- Certification:
- Certified Healthcare Leadership within 12 Months
- CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or CRCST (Certified Registered Service Technician) must be obtained prior to start of role.
- Experience:
- Three years of experience in OR/SPD leadership/management role.
- Knowledge and experience in the perioperative areas of sterile processing, case preparation and clean-up, perioperative materials management supplies, equipment and environmental standards; three years of experience in a leadership/management role. Two years of experience in each sub-specialty or two years of cross-training.
