Job Description
You will be the Manufacturing Planner Associate for the Production Planning and Control organization supporting the Optical Components Center (OCC). Our team is responsible for driving inventory optimization, minimizing costs, and ensuring seamless material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Planner Associate you will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely delivery of optical components.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain detailed production plans aligned with demand forecasts.
- Monitor inventory levels and execute optimization strategies to reduce excess stock.
- Coordinate material flow between suppliers, manufacturing, and distribution.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics and recommend process improvements.

Basic Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Previous experience with Microsoft Excel and basic formulas
Desired skills
- Related experience in material handling, control systems and ERP systems (SAP)
- Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing
- Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS)
- Green Belt certified OR ability to demonstrate knowledge and principles of green belt certification put into practice
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce or business
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills
- Excellent organization and communication skills

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
