About this role

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly and functional testing following documented specifications to complete assigned Cadwell sub-assemblies and final assemblies
  • Construct and test cables to documented specifications
  • Program and test circuit boards to documented specifications
  • Maintain paper and electronic quality and materials records as required
  • Report defective materials, and any actions or conditions not aligned to department standard processes to department manager
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, and follow prescribed safety procedures and regulations
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required per P.M. charts
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in related field, or 2 years of related education/experience is preferred
  • Experience with assembly of complex electronic assemblies preferred

Job Knowledge / Requirements:

  • Basic skills for electronic assemblies, such as hand soldering, wire crimping, basic hand tool usage, use of appropriate electronic instrumentation inspection, and part number interpretation; read and interpret assembly drawings; basic skills with oscilloscope, power supply, and voltmeter; basic knowledge of circuits and PCB schematics
  • Basic competency in computer skills: MS Office and Google applications, and database systems
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including receiving, understanding and following oral and written instructions, information, procedures and schematics
  • Complete tasks as directed with minimal supervision, with precision and within defined schedule
  • Work both independently and as an effective member of the team
  • Critical success factors include attention to detail, receive and follow instructions and assignments, and meet given priorities and deadlines
  • Must develop knowledge of Cadwell products, and their parts and assemblies

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

  • General manufacturing positions may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.
  • Use of computer and various hand and electronic tools
  • Work assigned shifts to cover department hours of 6:30am-5:00pm; overtime may be required to meet business needs
