The Marketing Analyst is a dual support position for two functional areas in the Sales & Marketing Services Department: Strategic Insights and Sales Compensation, Reporting & Marketing Systems. In supporting Sales Compensation, Reporting & Marketing Systems, the candidate will run queries, update and develop reports for the organization, and support sales compensation processes and assist in systems support. The candidate is expected to interact and foster strong working relationships with sales, PCA plant teams, and corporate departments. In supporting Strategic Insights, the candidate will assist in customer and employee survey development, deployment, analysis of results, report preparation, and communication to both internal stakeholders and external customers. The job requires strong analytical and math skills, taking initiative, and independent judgment. The candidate is expected to become knowledgeable about PCA’s network and capabilities. The Marketing Analyst is expected to be a team player and have a “can-do” attitude to ensure we meet tight deadlines.

Principle Accountabilities: 

  • Run monthly sales reports for sales performance tracking.
  • Assist in sales reassignment, system access security, and updating various system tables that feed PCA directories and CRM system components.
  • Assist in the management of Data Warehouse Web Reporting, PowerBI, and PCA’s CRM system.
  • Assist in the creation of the monthly sales book. This monthly report provides senior management with a customer-focused analysis on top customers and provides data against key performance indicators for all plants.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of the Sales Scorecards quarterly.
  • On an annual basis, assist in the data analysis for PCA’s yearly recognition and awards program which includes awards given to both plants and individuals based on key performance indicators.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day sales compensation operations, including sales agreement management, new account bonuses, and commission payments while meeting tight deadlines and helping to quickly address and resolve inquiries from the field.
  • Tabulate and analyze customer data to provide plant sales and customer service teams manageable lists for sequential survey waves.
  • Become proficient in using PCA’s CRM and 3rd party survey platforms to extract, analyze and report on large data sets, as well as support survey administration.
  • Utilize 3rd party platform dashboards and data extraction tools to gather survey results, analyze the information and create executive summaries and reports on key findings.
  • Assist in platform user management and data set alignment to ensure all individuals have appropriate access to information and dashboard views within the platforms.
  • Help communicate key findings, success stories, and improvement opportunities through reporting and other creative means to executive leadership, plant management teams, and local plant personnel as necessary.
  • As a member of the Sales and Marketing Services team, be prepared to support various projects as and when needed.
  • Know and follow policies and procedures of the company, share information that would benefit other members of the team and find ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Equivalent of a Bachelors degree required; Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics or Economics preferred.
  • 1-2 years relevant work experience in a similar role is preferred. Demonstrated experience in research project management or support, report development, and ability to work with large data sets.
  • Computer and software knowledge: Advanced Excel Skills; High level of competence in PowerPoint, Word; Ability and willingness to learn new software in a short turnaround time is a must. Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365, Customer Voice, and Power BI a plus.
  • Early adapter of AI tools to enhance data visualization and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities, proficiency in data tabulation and visualization, strong verbal and written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail and organization, as well as the capacity to evaluate both quantitative and qualitative data and identify essential information for dissemination or action.
  • Good listener and effective problem solver.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment. Service and goal oriented.
  • Professional and positive demeanor with a high degree of commitment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing assignments, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously and independently.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

 

  • Starting salary range for position: $70,400 to $88,000 
  • Bonus: Annual – Based upon individual contribution and overall, Company performance. 
  • Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.  
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
