About this role

THE OPPORTUNITY

Self-starting individual that is passionate, collaborative and an avid learner. Assists and partners with the Marketing Analytics team on Business analysis and customer intelligence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build a “macro pulse” for the business: track key indicators, summarize weekly/monthly changes, and explain likely business impacts.
  • Integrate external time series (e.g., FRED/BLS/BEA/Census) with internal customer and transaction data.
  • Run customer analytics: cohort analysis, segmentation, retention/churn & CLV.
  • Develop dashboards and automated reports for stakeholders in Finance and Marketing.
  • Create clean, reproducible analysis pipelines (queries/notebooks) with clear documentation.
  • Support forecasting: build and compare baseline vs. macro-adjusted scenarios.
  • Present findings with clear narratives, visuals, and recommendations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Qualifications (must-have)

  • Pursuing a BA/BS in Economics, Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Solid foundation in statistics/econometrics: regression, hypothesis testing, time series basics, forecasting concepts.
  • Strong analytical toolkit: Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups), plus SQL or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
  • Data visualization skills (Tableau/Power BI/Looker or Python/R plotting libraries).
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to explain methods, assumptions, and trade-offs.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with propensity modeling.
  • Experience with customer analytics concepts: cohorts, CLV, churn, segmentation, A/B testing.
  • Knowledge of macro indicators and sources (FRED, BLS, BEA) and how they’re constructed.
