About this role
Job Summary: This role works in multiple systems, responsible for data creation, maintenance, supersessions, pricing, costing, customer inquiry resolution, supplier quote submission and follow up including pricing, weights, dimensions and lead times. Support to Product Support Groups for internal/external customers providing timely responses and resolutions to requests.
Responsibilities:
- Data maintenance of all product requests from internal and external customers
- Liaise with suppliers on pricing and availability. Utilizing GPM to update pricing and costing
- Create and update supersessions
- Processing Inquiries from internal and external requests.
- Resolve data issues and with suppliers
Safety - Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards, perform job functions in a safe manner, wear all PPE required by Company Policy where required, know &
follow established job specific and facility wide safety & health procedures and rules, participate in safety and health training & demonstrate competency based on training
received, and bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management's attention or correct those you can.
Required Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in materials, logistics or purchasing or equivalent degree
- 1 to 3 years of related experience is required
- Experience with data management, materials management or purchasing
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient with business systems, PC and other office equipment
- Proficient keyboard skills and intermediate skill level with Microsoft systems and SAP.
Work Environment:
Must be comfortable working both in an office and on the shop floor, which will require the use of PPE. Must be able to work on computer for extended periods of time.
Travel Required: Domestic 5%
