International's San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is hiring a Materials Management Supervisor

 

The Materials Management Supervisor role directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.  Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Responsible for managing the introduction of new parts, features, and new programs into Supply Chain, ensuring cross-functional alignment and successful implementation.
  • Analyze, prioritize, coordinate, and delegate PFEP setup activities to ensure accurate material flow, presentation type definitions, container sizing, tugger route definition, and compliance with all applicable supply chain standards.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering and NPI teams to evaluate and implement routing changes, ensuring manufacturing and supply chain readiness for a successful launch.
  • Lead project planning and execution by defining scope, forecasting capital and resource requirements, delegating activities, mitigating risks, and reporting progress to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on modular solutions, including process analysis, solution design, time studies, ergonomic assessments, one-piece flow implementation, and logistics takt time optimization.
  • Coordinate with vendors and Procurement teams to ensure timely execution of projects, material availability, and successful implementation of operational initiatives.
  • Identify operational and system gaps, develop improvement plans, and collaborate with IT teams to implement system enhancements, digital solutions, and process automation initiatives.
  • Demonstrate problem solving resolution, root cause analysis and corrective action to resolve and prevent production interruptions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures, standards, and ways of working.
  • Develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficiency of operation functions.
  • Allocates staffing and coverage, foresee production issues and diminish downtime.
  • Drive Safety improvements, behaviors and strong culture of safety in Supply Chain.
  • Communicate across multiple functions including General Assembly, Quality, Engineering and other production departments in manufacturing plant to ensure production goals are met.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of materials management or supply chain experience

OR

  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of materials management or supply chain experience

OR

  • At least 5 years of materials management or supply chain experience
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
  • Experience applying P&L Way
  • Experience leading teams and projects aligned with P&L Way
  • Ability to coach, train and lead people
  • Firm understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Analytical Skills – Critical thinking capability, ability to compare, contrast and quantify, and keen attention to detail, with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily business requirements , following the P&L Way
  • Experience utilizing WDLS, LN, Kitting Automation, Line Feeding Control and Power BI to support supply chain operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Planner and Teams
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (Layouts)
  • Familiarity with BRD (Business Requirements Document) and SOR (Statement of Requirements) documentation
  • Takes initiative, embraces challenge/change Projects self-confidence, communicates effectively at all levels
