Internship Overview
We are seeking an Accounting Intern to join our team and gain hands‑on experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and day‑to‑day accounting operations. This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop practical accounting skills while contributing to accurate, efficient, and compliant financial processes that support overall business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily accounting tasks including data entry and account coding.
- Support month‑end closing activities such as journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Help maintain accurate financial records by organizing and updating accounting documentation.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, spreadsheets, and summaries for management review.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Help analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and potential issues.
- Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist with audits by gathering documentation and supporting internal controls.
- Collaborate with finance and other departments to support accounting needs and ensure timely information flow.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must be at least a sophomore‑level student.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP coursework preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with accounting or ERP software is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
