Nikkei Manor Assisted Living in Seattle's Chinatown-International District is hiring a Medication Technician to support resident safety and health through medication and ADL assistance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •       Passes medications/treatments or assists residents with their medications/treatments.
  •        Documents the administration, effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects of medication.
  •        Responsible for proper counting, storage and security of medications while maintaining a clean and organized medication cart/supply area.
  •        Responsible for ordering new and refill medications
  •        Assist with residents’ ADLs as indicated in individual service plans.
  •        Obtain and document vital signs as assigned.
  •        Observe and report to nurses any changes in residents’ physical, cognitive, or emotional condition.
  •        Assists the Health Services Director with Quality Improvement activities as assigned.
  •        Respond to emergency situations; administer First Aid as needed.
  •        Handle all forms of resident Protected Health Information (PHI) in a confidential, private and secure manner.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility, but may provide shift supervision of Resident Assistants.

 

Requirements

  •         Active CNA certification in Washington State.
  •         Nurse Delegation certificate upon hire.
  •         CPR and First Aid certificate within 30 days of hire.
  •          Washington State Food Worker Card within 14 days of hire.
  •          Mental Health certificate within 120 days of hire.
  •         Dementia certificate within 120 days of hire.
