Why this job matters:
We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of the daily routines and procedures of your department. You will focus on learning how the organization runs and completing ad-hoc tasks assigned by your manager.
What you will do:
Provide Technical and Project support for a customer service Medicare Contact Center and Medicare Operations team whose efforts will focus on measuring and improving customer and agent experience through the optimization of contact center platforms, training, and technology.
Schedule working sessions, prepare agendas, project timelines, and minutes.
Assist learning and development, quality, and operational teams to identify and support initiatives within the contact center, such as the development of training materials.
Prepare spreadsheets, reports, presentations, and other materials.
Outline test cases, perform user acceptance testing, and collaborate with other teams to streamline processes and implement new features and enhancements.
Collect, record, analyze, and evaluate data and information for the delivery of our contact center.
Daily reporting, audit data analysis, process documentation revisions, quality analysis
Conduct research on various policies, practices, and topics for customer service operations and healthcare.
Participate in intern group project and divisional scheduled engagements where possible, including community events or visits to BCBSRI retail stores.

What you need to succeed:
Professional speech and demeanor
Highly motivated and reliable individual
Experience with adult education, learning design or learning theory
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI preferred
Computer navigation skills
Written and verbal communications skills
Bilingual experience preferred but not required
Time management skills
Ability to collect and organize data
Ability to work independently
Ability to meet established time and quality standards
Ability to exercise sound judgment

Location:
BCBSRI is headquartered in downtown Providence, conveniently located near the train station and bus terminal. We actively support associate well-being and work/life balance and offer the following schedules, based on role:
- In-office: onsite 5 days per week
- Hybrid: onsite 2-4 days per week
- Remote: onsite 0-1 days per week. Permitted to reside in the following states, pending approval from the Human Resources Department: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia
