The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Mgr 3, Hlth Care/HIV Prevention Manager within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Medical and Preventive Services division.
This is a HIV Prevention Grant position.
Position Duties
Directs and provides assistance to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the delivery of health services. Provides assistance to develop and implement related policies and procedures. Monitors and evaluates healthcare programs. Directs subordinate managers and staff.
Coordinates HIV prevention deliverables, work plans, initiatives and outreach activities within the community - including community-based organizations (CBOs). Ensures effective delivery of prevention strategies aligned with grant requirements, including narrative and budget reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in health care services or related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional managerial or supervisory experience in health care services; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Mgr 2, Hlth Care (HCM011) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require certification and/or licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field and a master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field. Five (5) or more years of progressive experience managing HIV prevention, care, or public health programs. At least three (3) years of supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

Functional Reasoning: Requires the ability to apply principles of logical or synthesis functions; deal with concrete and abstract variables; and analyze major problems that require complex planning for interrelated activities that can span one or several work units.
Situational Reasoning: Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in critical and/or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.
