Hendrick Motorsports, a leader in the auto racing industry, is currently seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Analyst.

Under the direction of the Manager, Business Analysis & Applications Administration, this entry-level/junior position supports process and software improvement efforts through basic data analysis, documentation, testing, and end-user support. The role helps bridge the gap between IT and business teams by assisting with requirements gathering, application configuration, reporting, and issue triage. Supports mapping of business processes to ERP workflows to improve reporting and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist as a liaison between the IT department and organizational departments on assigned software-related projects.

  • Support the analysis of business issues by gathering information, documenting current-state processes, and escalating risks/questions as needed.

  • Help organize and clarify project or business needs and translate them into user stories, requirements, or software specifications with guidance.

  • Assist with documenting and tracking hardware/software needs and coordinating requests with appropriate stakeholders.

  • Support configuration and administration tasks for Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management modules under direction (e.g., setup, data validation, and basic workflow support).

  • Execute test scripts, document results, and work with the team to identify defects and confirm fixes.

  • Triage and troubleshoot basic system issues, route complex errors to appropriate resources.

  • Create, modify, and maintain standard reports and dashboards following established guidelines.

  • Provide ongoing support for existing Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management modules, including user assistance, basic configuration changes, and documentation updates.

  • Use Power BI to support departmental reporting requests (e.g., data refreshes, basic visuals, and validation) with guidance.

  • Develop foundational understanding of financial and manufacturing business systems and processes.

  • Provide application support for business and engineering apps as assigned.

  • Participate in team knowledge sharing and complete required training to build skills in supported systems.

  • Assist with training end users to operate new, modified, or existing programs and applications (e.g., job aids, walkthroughs, and FAQs).

  • Support the help desk by providing basic subject matter assistance and escalating issues as needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is REQUIRED.

  • An associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field is preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Experience:

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience (internship, co-op, or entry-level experience considered).

  • Functional analyst or business analyst experience supporting Dynamics 365 preferred.

  • Implementation experience preferred.

  • Manufacturing/production (shopfloor) process experience preferred.

Computer Skills:  

  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management and basic ERP concepts preferred.  

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and exposure to Agile practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps), Power Automate (MS Flow), and Azure AD preferred.  

  • Basic understanding of SQL and Power BI preferred.  

  • Ability to learn data analysis concepts and follow established development/configuration standards; programming exposure is a plus.

Certifications & Licenses:
