visits and recruiting, as needed.
Job Description:
Assistant Recruiter
Assist the Recruiter with identifying and recruiting eligible students
for the program and Out of School Youth (OSY)
Maintain records, files, and state-mandated reports related to eligible
students
Facilitate communication between eligible students and families with
their school district
Travel throughout the assigned districts
Knowledge of local resources
Make home visits upon request by the Recruiter to eligible families to
communicate available school services, community resources, and
other needs as they arise
Review state and federal mandates and guidelines to interview
families to determine eligibility for program services
Collaborate with school staff to maintain appropriate records of
eligible students
Maintain daily logs and travel for mileage reimbursement and
evidence of recruitment, and turn them into the Recruiter
Explain the program services and benefits to families and students, as
well as school staff and community partners
Assist the Recruiter in obtaining verification signatures at the
beginning of every school year for those not withdrawn from the
migrant program in your district via the provided device.
Assist the Recruiter in picking up completed Farm Worker surveys
from schools on an ongoing basis, and check Google Forms for
anyone who was referred to the program, and ensure follow-up
Attend required trainings and conferences at local, regional, state, and
national levels
Job Description:
Tutor
Tutor all eligible school-aged students
Provide additional resources in the core subjects of math,
reading, and science, or others needed based on low assessment
scores or grades below C on an end-of-term grade report, unless
otherwise indicated by teaching staff.
Provide individual and small group tutoring sessions, reinforcing and
implementing instruction as directed by the classroom teacher, site
administrator, program advocate/recruiter, program coordinator, or
director
Prepare and organize lessons based on individual student needs as
directed by the site administrator and program director
Provide weekly tutoring to Priority for Service (PFS) students
Maintain consistent contact with school faculty and staff on student
needs
Maintain weekly paperwork in Web App on student progress
Maintain monthly visits with students who are not PFS students
Attend required trainings and conferences
Maintain the required 25 hours of summer instruction within June and
July
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred
Knowledge of the Logan County geographic area, including major roads,
communities, and key local institutions
Proficient in computer and office software applications, including
Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, email systems, spreadsheets,
and web-based platforms
Must successfully complete required state and federal criminal
background checks as required by Kentucky law.
Must provide a clear Child Abuse/Neglect (CA/N) check from the
Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services as a condition of
employment.
Must meet health requirements as specified in district personnel policies
