Torch is seeking a motivated Junior Missile Defense Systems Engineer/Analyst to support Missile Defense System (MDS) assessments in a collaborative, team-based and mentoring environment. This role supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) by providing modeling, simulation, and evidence-based analysis for future Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) software builds.

As a Junior Missile Defense Systems Engineer/Analyst your duties will include the following but not limited to: 

• Perform algorithm testing, data generation, modeling, simulation, and analysis in support of MDA initiatives
• Evaluate radar and electro-optical sensor data fusion methodologies
• Support multi-sensor tracking and target discrimination algorithm assessment
• Analyze system-level command and control algorithms and missile defense battle management techniques
• Provide technical support for independent assessments of future C2BMC software builds
• Present technical findings and analysis to diverse stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
• 0–5 years of relevant experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD clearance
• Experience with computer programming and/or scripting
• Data analysis experience
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Schedule: M-F; 8-5
