THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented Systems Engineer with a Top Secret clearance to work from our Littleton, CO location.
This role is within the Mission Engineering and Operations (MEO) organization as a Mission Systems Engineer for the Payloads team. This position is to support spacecraft operations, sustainment, and production through operational software products and CONOP development. The MEO team works within the Global Security portfolio as a part of the National Security Space Line of Business.
In this position you will:
• Be responsible for developing and updating operational CONOPs for your area of expertise to include being the primary interface between operations and certified principal engineers.
• Collaborate with multiple teams across the program to deliver and maintain the best operational system and seek efficiencies and automation-based solutions
• Prepare for and execute initialization of new spacecraft assets
• Maintain an established baseline of spacecraft command sequence products, to include design, code, test these products utilizing a simple, proprietary programming language
• Work in an Agile environment with system architects to design and develop CONOPs on several new programs that span various lifecycle stages
In support of mission operations, each member of the team is expected to become a domain expert in one or more spacecraft payload subsystems, and to support the rest of the team through reviews, testing and backup support of their products and CONOPs.
This is an EMERGING PROFESSIONAL (level 2) ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
