Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Tooling Preparation: to accurately prepare tooling dies for operation.
- Assembles disassembles, prepares and positions tooling dies for operation; changes die inserts as required.
- Adds chills and soluble per tech cards.
- Removes and/or cleans tooling after operation.
- Mold Machine Operation: To operate moderately complex molding machines accurately and efficiently using technique cards and established setup procedures. To maintain dimensional integrity of product
- Sets up, monitors, and controls mold machine functions.
- Keeps dies clean during molding operations.
- Removes wax parts from die, inspects for defects, and trims.
- Cleans wax parts as required.
- Completes logs and records; documents any modifications to process.
- Meets all production and quality standards.
- Safety Objective: to take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
- Safely operates all equipment and tools.
- Identifies and reports safety problems.
- OTHER (MARGINAL) ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- May train less skilled operators as assigned.
Performs other tasks as directed.
- May be required to handle hazardous waste.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Skill in wax molding operations, as demonstrated by three to six months of competent performance in any wax molding utility, leach tank or core/gate cleaner positions is preferred OR any equivalent combination of training and work experience.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow specifications on Technique Cards, Process Control
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to work alone with limited supervision.
- Written language skills required.
- Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
- Training is provided on the job.
- May be required to complete Hazardous Waste Management Training.
