Job Summary: Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager of 3 Inter Mediate Care Unit, the Monitor Technician Supervisor assumes supervisory responsibility for the daily operations, equipment, personnel, and other related considerations of the Monitor Room.

Minimum Requirements: 

• High school graduation or equivalency required
• Successful Completion of an approved dysrhythmia course or related experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology desired
• At least five (5) years' experience as a Monitor Technician. 
• The Monitor Technician Supervisor must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The Monitor Technician Supervisor must demonstrate an understanding of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Additionally, the Monitor Technician Supervisor possesses the ability to assess data and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify the unit’s requirements. Also, Monitor Technician Supervisor should be able to problem solve.
