Job Summary (Purpose):
To promote, develop and sell Autogas to potential customers by networking internally with the National Accounts sales team and field Area Sales Managers and Account Managers. To expand our market share and revenue within the accounts, while expanding the Autogas Account customer base through aggressive prospecting, sales and partnership development efforts.

- The ability to sell, communicate and negotiate with all levels of decision makers and business owners. Must possess leadership capability and be able to effectively communicate and work with Area Sales Managers and district personnel to satisfy customer needs and AmeriGas autogas requirements.
- Ability to read and use necessary AmeriGas financial reports and terms to make effective sales pricing proposals.
- Understanding of all alternative fuels at a technical level and have the ability to present propane benefits vs. alt. fuels to fleet operators
- Through understanding of all propane OEM offerings
- The personality and demeanor suited for building and maintaining lasting relationships.
- Must possess time management skills and prioritize daily duties to effectively cover a large geographic multi state territory.
- The aptitude to develop and apply innovative resolutions to complex sales problems.
- Ability to work across all departments to craft the best solution for the customer as well as AmeriGas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Secure, develop and become a fleet partner with assigned accounts by consulting with a high degree of industry expertise and knowledge,
- Expand AmeriGas’ autogas market share, revenue and profitability by supporting AmeriGas personnel and industry partners with autogas opportunity development
- Increase the National Autogas Account customer base by prospecting and responding to bids and leads for potential National Autogas Accounts.
- Promote AmeriGas autogas at industry and key fleet management events
- Drive customer satisfaction by properly managing assigned accounts, conducting quarterly reviews with assigned accounts, communicating regularly with the field and taking an active role in problem resolution and resolution follow up.
- Work in conjunction with AmeriGas’ Accounts Receivable Department to ensure prompt payment
- Raise personal level of expertise by attending specialty-training classes, becoming involved in vertical industry associations and by staying current on all aspects of the autogas industry.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual gallon, margin and GPADE objectives.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Handles the communications required to get capital approvals for installation as well as interacting with the sales team and operations team to communicate future operations delivery requirements. Helps to establish training requirements for local personnel as needed and assists in developing a clear, on-going maintenance plan for each project.
- Monthly reporting of autogas successes for respective territories. Complete reports, schedules and other administrative responsibilities in a timely, complete and accurate manner
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of autogas industry
- Presentation and speaking abilities to organizations as well as seminars and groups.
- A highly developed level of confidence, negotiation and selling skills along with relationship building. Ability to work as part of a team and travel.
- Ability to develop and apply innovative resolutions to complex problems
- Ability to travel as needed in territory.
Education and Experience Required:
- Business experience in selling and or building customer relationships required.
- Minimum of 7 years of sales, sales management or account management
- Appropriate oil and gas industry experience required
