Neuroradiologist

University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks Neuroradiologists (Multiple openings) in Pittsburgh, PA to diagnose and treat disorders/illnesses affecting the brain, spine, head, and neck utilizing imaging equipment. Assess patient’s medical history, review test results and prior radiological studies, and address concerns and questions that patients and their families may have. Work with technicians to prep patients for X-ray machines and other imaging devices such as ultrasound, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy, and conduct tests, interpret the results, make a diagnosis, and develop a treatment plan. Participate in teaching of residents, medical students, and fellows.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Diagnose and treat disorders/illnesses affecting the brain, spine, head, and neck utilizing imaging equipment.

• Assess patient’s medical history, review test results and prior radiological studies, and address concerns and questions that patients and their families may have.

• Work with technicians to prep patients for X-ray machines and other imaging devices such as ultrasound, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy, and conduct tests, interpret the results, make a diagnosis, and develop a treatment plan.

• Participate in teaching of residents, medical students, and fellows.

• Must have a Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.) or equivalent;

• Must have completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology

• Must be board certified or eligible for certification by American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Association in Radiology with CAQ Subspeciality in Neuroradiology.

• Unrestricted medical license in PA or eligibility;

• Some telecommuting permissible.
