The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations during the overnight shift while performing accounting and financial reconciliation tasks. This role ensures the accuracy of daily financial transactions, provides exceptional guest service, and maintains a safe and secure environment for guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities 

  • Greet, check in and check out guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly.
  • Handle reservations, room assignments, and special requests.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and resolve issues independently during overnight hours.
  • Perform end-of-day audits of all hotel transactions.
  • Reconcile room revenue, cash, credit card transactions and other accounts.
  • Post charges and payments accurately into the system.
  • Generate and distribute daily financial and operational reports.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Maintain front desk operations and lobby presence during overnight shift.

  • Previous desk, accounting, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems
