Night Auditor – Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel
Position Summary:
The Night Auditor position is responsible for the management of nightly hotel operations, posting and balancing charges and settlements for room, restaurant, and outlet daily work. Although the Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel (SEWPH) is an enterprise of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan, it operates under the Migizi Economic Development Company Policies and Procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Train, reinforce, and model behaviors and actions that are aligned with the Migizi Guest Service standards and philosophies.
- Performs the responsibilities of the Guest Service Representative (GSR) and Lead when necessary.
- Audits and posts transactions for the hotel, Water Park, golf course, restaurant, outlets, and extended stay lodging.
- Determines cash amounts and credit card amounts to be added into the Point of Sale.
- Reconciles gift cards, promotional coupons, and special packages.
- Closes daily amounts for checks, credit cards, and Point of Sale system.
- Balances and audits for accuracy room, food and beverage, retail, and miscellaneous revenue.
- Prepares detailed reports on audit findings and variances for management and accounting.
- Prepares all reports relevant to daily revenues and file items that are ready for filing for accounts receivable and the bank depositor.
- Balances direct billing, tax exemptions and other miscellaneous charges.
- Inspects account books and accounting system for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrate ethical behavior, professionalism, and a high work ethic.
- Mathematical aptitude skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Work Environment/Safety Hazards:
This position requires frequent use of hands, wrists and fingers associated with computer operation, cash handling, merchandise handling. Must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs. May be exposed to water chemical vapors and humid environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Pass a written cashier\math test.
- One (1) year of experience in a hospitality, retail, or service field.
- Pre-employment background check.
Preferred:
- Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe preference candidate
