NIH Security Guard

Cape Fox Facilities Services is seeking a Security Guard to join our team in Hamilton, MT in support of the NIH.

The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position is $21.15 per hour for up to 40 hours per week. This is comprised of a base hourly rate of $21.15 plus $5.00 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations. The above range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.  In addition, we offer a 401K with company match.  

Responsibilities:

• Observe and report activity
• Follow established policies and procedures
• Perform foot patrol of campus and buildings, checking for any signs of a security breech
• Report maintenance and safety issues
• Assist all guard posts
• Assist during emergency situations
• Respond to alarms as needed
• Escort employees and visitors
• Man posts and maintain access control
• Perform vehicle inspections and process visitors using computer system

• Ability to multi-task

• Ability to sit, stand, walk for long periods of time in all weather conditions

• Customer service skills
• Must be able to keep confidential information secure
• Ability to work under pressure, handle stress, and deliver professional results.
• Long hours and weekends may be required to meet scheduling needs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. .
• Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Sit or stand throughout a regular work day.
• Able to work on computer for long periods. 
• Ability to walk up several flights of stairs
