About this role
Provides direct medical care to University students in accordance with general standards of health care and all health regulations. Instructs and counsels patients, provides education and medical advice, and provides continuity of care by developing and implementing a patient care plan. Documents patient care services and writes progress notes and discharge summaries. Assists clinical staff in patient care. Ensures patient flow as well as a safe and inviting environment.

Provides direct medical care to University students in accordance with general standards of health care including, but not limited to, physical examinations and/or diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests; evaluates and treats patients with acute and chronic diseases; completes patient history and develops health profiles; orders medical consultations, therapies, and interventions; and performs laboratory testing.
Instructs and counsels patients, provides education and medical advice promoting wellness and health maintenance, and provides continuity of care by developing and implementing a patient care plan. Collaborates with other clinical staff for patient comprehensive health management plans.
Documents patient care services in an accurate and timely manner in the electronic record. Writes progress notes and discharge summaries; prepares patient workups and summaries.
Provides assistance and cultivates collaboration with clinical staff to provide efficient, quality patient care.
Evaluates and improves healthcare practices and recommends modifications to contribute to the development, implementation, and expansion of University wellness programs and initiatives.
Adheres to the patient appointment schedule. Monitors and takes appropriate action to ensure efficient patient flow.
Maintains a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
Participates in student outreach activities, meetings, functions, events, and committees, as needed/directed.
Ensures policy and procedural compliance with all health regulations.
