About this role

The Division of Heart Rhythm Services at Mayo Clinic Rochester is seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate) with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and advancing clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias. This position offers the opportunity to work within one of the nation’s premier Heart Rhythm practices alongside more than 20 cardiac electrophysiologists and a collaborative team of experienced APPs, nurses, and allied health professionals.

The role provides exposure to the full spectrum of contemporary electrophysiology, including pre- and post-catheter ablation care, evaluation and follow-up of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices, and care of adults with congenital heart disease and rhythm disorders. We are seeking an NP or PA who embraces continued professional growth, enjoys expanding clinical responsibilities, and is motivated to develop increasing independence through mentorship, collaboration, and continuous professional development. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-based environment while contributing to the ongoing evolution of the Heart Rhythm practice.

Responsibilities

  • Support access, throughput, and continuity for high-acuity, time-intensive arrhythmia patients.
  • Monitor and manage patients receiving antiarrhythmic therapy, including safety surveillance, response assessment, and coordination of follow-up care.
  • Collaborate in the operational support of advanced electrophysiology procedures and evolving care models, including pulsed field ablation, hybrid ablation strategies and cardioneural ablation.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, workflow optimization, practice growth, and patient-centered care aligned with Mayo Clinic’s commitment to comprehensive, innovative cardiovascular care.
  • Opportunities to participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and practice innovation are available for interested candidates

Qualifications

Master’s or DNP prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as an FNP or ANP required.

Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and licensure as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.

Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.

Preferred Experience

  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of cardiology or electrophysiology experience
  • Interest in arrhythmia management, advanced electrophysiology procedures, device-based therapies, patient education, and multidisciplinary care coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a complex, high-volume clinical practice.
