You’ll partner with colleagues across the loan process to keep documentation and system records complete and up to date. As an Operations Senior Specialist within Home Lending Operations, you will support activities that facilitate the transition of a loan to closure. You will create and maintain loan files, perform administrative and system updates, and help resolve documentation or processing issues. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure required information is accurate and complete. You will provide coverage across support activities based on business needs and volume. You will help maintain an organized, service-focused experience through timely communication and attention to detail.

Job responsibilities 

  • Maintain loan files and ensure documents are organized, complete, and properly stored
  • Perform administrative tasks including scanning/imaging, copying, filing, data entry, and handling correspondence
  • Update and monitor system records and third-party credit-related websites, as applicable
  • Partner with underwriting and other internal teams to support document collection and issue resolution
  • Communicate with external agents and internal colleagues to resolve discrepancies and clear open items
  • Provide coverage for support activities based on absences and volume fluctuations
  • Complete additional operational tasks as assigned to support the loan closing process

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain organized electronic and paper files
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and escalate discrepancies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic proficiency with common office tools and computer systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior customer service experience
  • Experience supporting operational, administrative, or document-processing work
  • Familiarity with loan documentation, lending operations, or financial services workflows
  • Experience coordinating with multiple partners to resolve time-sensitive issues
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a process-driven environment
