THE JOB

The Truth is seeking energetic, dependable Part-Time Operations Staff to support the overall day-of-show operations of the venue. Operations Staff play a vital role in preparing the venue for guests by assisting with event setup and teardown, managing operational equipment, supporting guest flow, and providing assistance to multiple departments throughout each event. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, physical work, and being part of a team that helps make every event successful.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Work directly with the Operations Manager and Operations Supervisors to support day-of-show operations.
  • Assist with venue setup and teardown, including chairs, tables, tents, bike rack, stanchions, signage, ADA platforms, and other event equipment.
  • Prepare ingress and egress areas by setting up queueing systems, guest pathways, and security screening equipment.
  • Support crowd flow by directing guests, managing lines, and assisting with wayfinding throughout the venue.
  • Assist Guest Services, Security, Box Office, Production, Facilities, and other departments as operational needs arise.
  • Respond quickly to last-minute operational requests and venue changes.
  • Monitor the venue throughout events to identify safety hazards, operational concerns, or equipment needs and report them to leadership.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized venue before, during, and after events.
  • Safely move, store, and organize venue equipment following each event.
  • Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment and moving venue furnishings.
  • Partner with fellow staff members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables or trash from the venue, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as chairs, etc. 
  • Fosters positive experiences for guests, staff, and other stakeholders in a manner that establishes the venue as a safe, enjoyable, and supportive environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in event operations, venue operations, hospitality, facilities, guest services, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
  • Ability to follow direction and adapt to changing operational needs throughout an event.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and organized venue.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
