About this role
Oracle Life Sciences seeks a Data Analyst to join our oncology team. This role will work closely with survey data and other complex datasets and contribute to high-quality deliverables that support oncology market insights and strategic decision-making.
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, curious, and motivated to learn. This person will support the team by becoming familiar with our physician surveys and how our oncology datasets are structured, helping input key data points into models and deliverables, and performing careful quality control to ensure outputs accurately reflect source datasets.
This role requires strong execution, flexibility, and a team-first mindset. The successful candidate will enjoy working collaboratively, take pride in completing tasks thoroughly, and help create consistency, efficiency, and trust across team workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, life sciences, public health, data analytics, mathematics, or a related discipline
Experience in the oncology domain, including healthcare or life sciences data
Experience working with epidemiology datasets
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
High proficiency and comfort working in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
Nice-to-Have Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Familiarity with SQL
Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
Exposure to Python or other coding tools
Familiarity with Codex or AI-assisted coding/workflow tools
Prior experience working with structured datasets, data QC, research deliverables, or analytics projects

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Data Management, QC, & Deliverable Support
Become familiar with the structure, organization, and use of internal oncology surveys and datasets
Support the input of key data points into models, trackers, PowerPoint deliverables, Excel-based tools, and related team outputs
Compare deliverables, models, and analytic outputs against original datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness
Conduct detailed quality control checks to identify discrepancies, missing information, formatting issues, or inconsistencies
Help maintain organized files, version control, and documentation across workstreams
Ensure assigned tasks are completed thoroughly and on time, with minimal loose ends
Team Collaboration & Learning
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot data questions, resolve inconsistencies, and support high-quality execution
Develop foundational knowledge of oncology, oncology datasets, and team deliverables through hands-on work and mentorship
Work closely with team members to understand project goals, dataset structures, and quality expectations
Contribute to a team culture built on trust, accountability, collaboration, and strong execution
Bring curiosity, creative problem solving, and a willingness to learn new tools, processes, and therapeutic area concepts
Qualifications

US: Hiring Range in USD from $31.83 to $63.65 per hour; from: $66,200 to $132,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
