In its first year of eligibility, the institute has been recognized for its positive workplace culture with Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work award. 🔗 Click here to learn more about Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute 💼 Position Overview The Ortho Practice Manager oversees daily operations at assigned branch office, ensuring coverage for all positions and managing scheduled appointments for providers. Responsibilities Manages, counsels, and coaches staff in day-to-day activities, including scheduling, insurance verification, surgery scheduling, disability paperwork, etc. Effectively communicates with team members and peer leadership to ensure clinic efficiency, effective teamwork, and superior patient service. Addresses elevated customer service issues with patients, in-person or by phone. Processes requests for information for workers’ compensation adjusters and case managers. Trouble-shoots equipment and building maintenance issues. Works SRS Pools for the branch office and ensures clinical messages are handled daily. Handles daily financial balancing procedures and reports to Finance Department. Ensures daily acknowledgement of appointments in practice management system and tracks daily input of charges for all services. Works eligibility and authorization work queues for denial management. Monitors patient satisfaction via completed surveys. Enforces and promotes Jewett Safety Rules and the HIPAA Confidentiality Policy. Assists with DME authorizations and distribution as needed. Qualifications Education/Training Associates degree in a healthcare, business or related field; two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Associates degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the experience section). Working knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and CPT & ICD-10 coding, and of one or more of the following: SRS, Allscripts, Clearwave, Pulse, Retriever Med Experience Three (3) years of experience working in a healthcare environment and two (2) years in a leadership role.
