Job Description
Position Summary:
Level One: Schedules and coordinates shipping flow of work by performing the following duties.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Generate PO for OSP services.
- Updates daily OSP commitments and ECD’S
- Do all transactions of OSP items in Syteline.
- Obtains rates from carriers and coordinates trucks for pick up.
- Coordinates with outside vendors for truck availability and schedules for completion.
- Assures quantities of outgoing materials/items match PO’s. Assures quantities received match shippers.
- Review all certs received for OSP vendors.
- Participates in lean activities and documents Best Practices.
- Participates in Daily/Weekly Ship Plan Meetings
- Communicates with outside vendors regarding processing lead times, capacity and delinquent deliveries
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
Required Skills:
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors and customers.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with the ability to efficiently create, manage, and analyze documents and data.
Experience & Education
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
