Security Operations Center – Overnight Operator (3rd shift – 11PM-7AM)

 

Description of Position: 

The overnight SOC Operator is responsible for responding to alarm calls, keeping leadership informed, and investigating theft and fraud concerns. Overnight SOC Operators observe cameras at length while protecting the Company’s assets. By proactively identifying theft and fraud situations, the Overnight SOC Operator maintains a strong Loss Prevention culture in the store to reduce losses and liabilities. This position is an onsite role that will work out of our Corporate Office located in Bradenton, FL. This position requires the operator to work alone.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Observe stores via CCTV to identify theft and build external cases for prosecution 
  • Actively communicate with stores and Field Loss Prevention to address current theft and fraud activity 
  • Communicate theft and fraud incidents to the appropriate law enforcement agencies 
  • Record cases in the Case Management System 
  • Communicate all concerns regarding CCTV/Systems to SOC Manager or LP Technology Coordinator 
  • Review exception reports and observes associates’ activity to identify potential acts of fraud or theft 
  • Respond to alarm calls and dispatch Law Enforcement as needed 
  • Complete all other tasks assigned by supervisor 

Requirements 

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Customer service skills and retail experience a plus 
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Must be a strong self-starter and comfortable working alone
  • Must be a strong multi-tasker, and not easily distracted when focused on a task 
  • Must demonstrate a sound decision-making and judgement; must be able to remain calm in stressful or critical situations 
  • Fluent in English; bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus 

 

Physical Requirements: 

This position involves a variety of physical activities including talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity is required for observing video and analyzing records.
