Part Time CMPD/MCSO Off-duty police

About the Department

Provide a visible uniformed police presence on campus, protecting persons and property. 

Position Duties

Respond to calls for service from Central Piedmont and CMPD dispatch related to the campus. 
Document offenses appropriately in campus and CMPD reporting systems. 
Enforce applicable North Carolina laws and city ordinances.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A sworn law enforcement officer with CMPD or MCSO.

Preferred Requirements:

• Three years of sworn law enforcement experience with CMPD or MCSO.

Other Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics: 

• Knowledge of police/law enforcement procedures and techniques 
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to make appropriate judgment in responding to situations
