Part-time Research Assistant
Position Description
The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Public Health Sciences in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Part-time Research Assistant. This position will be responsible for assisting with several ongoing and future research projects within the Center for Research on Tobacco and Health. These projects cover health behavior survey research and National Institutes of Health funded clinical trials on tobacco harm reduction and smoking cessation. Major responsibilities will include study product management, screening and data collection for several ongoing clinical trials. Finally, the position will assist with data analysis, with the opportunity to assist with manuscript and grant writing.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a research assistant. It is important that the candidate have experience working within a team with multiple principal investigators and multiple projects. The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher plus 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
