As a Patient Services Agent, you will serve as an important point of contact for our patients, helping ensure an exceptional experience from the first phone call through appointment scheduling and follow-up care. Key Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally and courteously
• Provide accurate information regarding clinic services, policies, procedures, and hours of operation
 • Deliver compassionate and empathetic support to patients while addressing questions and concerns
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments based on provider availability
• Maintain accurate patient scheduling information within the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
 • Assist patients with billing inquiries, referrals, co-pays, and insurance-related questions
 • Communicate insurance requirements clearly to patients and providers
 • Ensure patient records are updated accurately and timely within the EHR
 • Document all patient interactions, inquiries, and follow-up actions
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies
 • Escalate patient concerns or service issues to supervisors when appropriate
 • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to improve service quality
 • Support patient outreach initiatives, campaigns, and educational programs
• Coordinate transportation services for Medicare patients, ensuring timely scheduling and communication
 • Verify transportation eligibility requirements and communicate instructions to patients
 • Escalate transportation delays or service concerns promptly to leadership
 • Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in customer service, healthcare, call center, or clinical environments preferred
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred
 • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
 • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
 • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
 • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
 • Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills
 • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
 • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Bilingual in English and Spanish
