Position Title:     Payroll Administrator & Human Resources Support 

Department:        Human Resources

Reports To:          Human Resources Manager

Status:          Full-time Year-Round, Salaried (Exempt)

Working Hours:    General office hours, fluctuate with time of season, some weekend work

Wage Range:     $42,500 - $47,500

Position Summary:  Administer company payroll and provide support to Human Resources Manager as needed.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

Wisp Resort is a four-season ski, golf and recreational destination resort.  Because of the nature of the resort business, employees may be asked to perform other duties outside of the job description.  Also, hours of operation are 24/7 including weekends and holidays.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities                     

    Process biweekly payroll, including salary and hourly wages, garnishments, gratuities, tips, incentives, commissions, trip tips, deductions, headcount, arrears, time off, and time & attendance.

    Run and download pre and post payroll reports.

    Reconcile post payroll insurance deduction spreadsheets to the payroll register.

    Assign and maintain Wisely Paycards to employees as an alternative to direct deposit.

    Maintain employee time-off slips and assign employee sick time policies to ADP.

    Provide payroll reports to the General Manager for final approval.

    Process new hires, rehires, changes, and terminations in ADP Payroll system.

    Maintain employee’s I-9 forms and IDs.

    Maintain spreadsheet of any “missing” new or rehire documentation as required by law.

    Process employee unemployment forms and employment verifications.

    Process employment job requisitions, applications, and electronic onboarding.

    Maintain validation tables and geo location groups.

    Assist employees on the ADP mobile app and process password resets as needed.

    Assist with maintaining 401k documentation with employee hire and termination information.

    Assist the Human Resources Manager with health, welfare, and 401K plan enrollments and terminations as related to payroll.

    Run monthly Affordable Care Act Eligibility Report and review end-of-year ACA Compliance Reports with Human Resources Manager.

    Assist by attending new and rehire employee orientations.

    Conduct and document background checks.

    Track and follow employee benefits as part of enrollment.

    Assist with employee paperwork, nametags, and employee passes.

    Assist with company uniform management.

    Assist with incoming and outgoing US mail as well as UPS packages.

    Maintain the office supply inventory and order as needed.

    As directed by the HR Manager, work at the HR front desk to support employees and other functions.

    Complete the annual US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission report.

Education and/or Experience:

    High School diploma or equivalent

    Previous office and/or human resources experience desirable

    Experience with payroll systems preferred


Language Skills:

    Proficiency in spoken and written English

    Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Analytical Skills:

    Good math skills are a must.

    Knowledge and use of computers and various software including Microsoft Office and payroll systems.
