Cape Fox Concentric methods is accepting resume for a Physical Therapist (Inpatient) to provide a full range of inpatient physical therapy services in support of the Defense Health Agency Medical Q-Coded Support and Services, Next Generation task order at the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center located at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. The PT will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, provide therapeutic procedures, support inpatient referrals, assist patients with functional mobility and activities of daily living, and coordinate care with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
The salary for this exempt position has been established at: $114,200.This salary represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of physical therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic procedures and a full range of therapy services in support of inpatient referrals.
- Ensure all patient contact and care is safe, timely, goal-oriented, and consistent with the intent of the referring medical staff.
- Test and measure patient strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, respiratory efficiency, and circulatory efficiency.
- Record findings and use clinical information to develop, implement, or revise treatment programs.
- Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on patient evaluation, clinical presentation, physician referral, functional limitations, and inpatient care needs.
- Administer manual exercises to improve, restore, and maintain function.
- Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing physical activities, including non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily living activities, and use of assistive and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, braces, prostheses, and other adaptive equipment.
- Administer treatments involving the application of physical agents, including equipment such as pulsed lavage units, whirlpool baths, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
- Evaluate the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatment interventions to achieve maximum patient benefit.
- Administer soft tissue mobilization using appropriate mobilization techniques and knowledge of body physiology.
- Administer traction to relieve pain using appropriate traction equipment and clinical protocols.
- Instruct patients and family members in treatment procedures, exercises, mobility techniques, safety precautions, and care activities to be continued at home or in the next care setting.
- Record treatment, patient response, and progress in the patient’s chart and/or automated systems within required timeframes, including documentation within 72 hours of the visit.
- Coordinate treatment with physicians and other healthcare staff to obtain additional patient information, recommend revisions to treatment programs, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient’s healthcare.
- Contact referring physicians or other appropriate providers regarding patient care concerns, as required.
- Support patient safety, continuity of care, discharge planning, access to care, and mission requirements of the inpatient physical therapy service.
- Maintain clinical competency, professional licensure, required certifications, and all applicable credentialing documentation.
- Comply with applicable Military Treatment Facility policies, DHA requirements, HIPAA requirements, local procedures, training requirements, safety requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Notify the appropriate Government supervisor and company leadership of any inability to perform scheduled duties as required.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respectful communication with patients, families, Government personnel, clinical staff, and company representatives.
Work Schedule: The Physical Therapist (Inpatient) shall perform services during varied schedules, including Wednesday through Sunday, Thursday through Monday, or Friday through Tuesday from 0730 to 1630. The position may require varied 8-hour or 10-hour shifts between the hours of 0600 and 1800.Federal holidays may be required workdays for this position. The employee shall follow the work schedule established by the Government supervisor and contract requirements. On-call requirements are not applicable for this labor category. Overage hours are not applicable for this labor category unless otherwise directed and authorized in accordance with contract requirements.

- Doctor of Physical Therapy or doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from a Physical Therapy program acceptable to the USAF Surgeon General and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
- Graduate from a college or university Physical Therapy program approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
- Minimum of 24 months of experience within the past 36 months as a Physical Therapist.
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Must possess and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in any one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Must maintain all required clinical privileges, credentials, competency documentation, and license requirements throughout employment.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
