Cape Fox Concentric Methods is accepting resume for full-time Physical Therapist (outpatient) to provide services at Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center located at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. The PT will provide a full range of outpatient physical therapy services in support of the Defense Health Agency Medical Q-Coded Support and Services. The PT will evaluate patients, develop treatment programs, provide therapeutic interventions, assist patients with functional mobility and activities of daily living, and coordinate care with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
The salary for this exempt position has been established at: $116K. This salary represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of physical therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility.
- Evaluate patients and plan, develop, and prepare written treatment programs based on the patient’s condition, clinical presentation, physician referral, and functional needs.
- Administer manual exercises and therapeutic interventions to improve, restore, and maintain patient function.
- Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing physical activities, including non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily living activities, and use of assistive and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, braces, prostheses, and other adaptive equipment.
- Administer soft tissue mobilization using appropriate mobilization techniques and knowledge of body physiology.
- Administer traction to relieve pain using appropriate traction equipment and clinical protocols.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic procedures and a full range of therapy services in support of patient referrals.
- Record treatment, patient response, and progress in the patient’s chart and/or automated systems within required timeframes, including documentation within 72 hours of the patient visit.
- Coordinate treatment with physicians and other healthcare staff to obtain additional patient information, recommend revisions to treatment programs, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient’s healthcare.
- Contact referring physicians or other appropriate providers regarding patient care concerns, as required.
- Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promotion of positive health behaviors.
- Support patient safety, continuity of care, access to care, and mission requirements of the outpatient physical therapy clinic.
- Maintain clinical competency, professional licensure, required certifications, and all applicable credentialing documentation.
- Comply with applicable Military Treatment Facility policies, DHA requirements, HIPAA requirements, local procedures, training requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Notify the appropriate Government supervisor and company leadership of any inability to perform scheduled duties as required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, automated documentation systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Work Schedule
The Physical Therapist (Outpatient) work schedule may consist of varied hours, including 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday between the hours of 0600 and 1800, or an 8-hour workday Monday through Friday between the hours of 0600 and 1800. Federal holidays are not considered workdays unless the employee is on-call. On-call coverage may be required. The anticipated on-call requirement is 200 on-call hours, not to exceed 600 on-call hours per FTE. The employee may be required to be on-call during federal holidays. Overage hours may be required. The anticipated overage requirement is 100 overage hours, not to exceed 200 overage hours per FTE. The employee may be required to report in person to the Military Treatment Facility during on-call hours if needed. Call-back hours may be counted as 8-hour days between the hours of 0800 and 1700 on Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays.

- Graduate from a college or university physical therapy program approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy or doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from a Physical Therapy program acceptable to the USAF Surgeon General and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
- Minimum of 24 months of outpatient orthopedic experience within the past 36 months as a Physical Therapist.
- Dry Needling certification is preferred.
- Orthopedic Clinical Specialist or Sports Clinical Specialist board certification is preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in any one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Must maintain all required clinical privileges, credentials, competency documentation, and license requirements throughout employment.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
