About this role
Job Summary
We are seeking a data-driven Portfolio Management Analyst to drive transparency and strategic decision-making across our product portfolio. This role will focus on analyzing product business cases, developing intuitive dashboards for progress tracking, and providing recommendations to optimize our product roadmap and overall portfolio health.
Responsibilities:
Business Case Analysis & Transparency
- Drive transparency on product business cases by analyzing financial metrics, resource requirements, and expected ROI
- Evaluate and validate assumptions underlying product investments and initiatives
- Partner with product teams to ensure accurate representation of costs, benefits, and risks
Dashboard Development & Performance Tracking
- Design and build executive dashboards that visualize portfolio performance, resource allocation, and progress against strategic goals
- Develop KPIs and metrics that provide actionable insights into product health and performance
- Automate reporting processes to enable real-time visibility into portfolio status
- Present data-driven insights to leadership through clear, compelling visualizations
Product Roadmap Strategy
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform cross-BU roadmap prioritization
- Develop data-driven recommendations for future product investments and divestments
- Conduct portfolio scenario planning and what-if analyses to support strategic planning
- Assess portfolio balance across innovation horizons, risk levels, and strategic themes
Portfolio Health & Optimization
- Monitor portfolio health metrics including capacity utilization, delivery velocity, and value realization
- Identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation across the portfolio
- Lead initiatives to improve portfolio governance processes and decision-making frameworks
- Support portfolio reviews and strategic planning sessions with stakeholders
- Track dependencies and risks across products to ensure proactive mitigation
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Collaborate with product managers, finance, and executive leadership to align on priorities
- Translate complex portfolio data into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences
- Support consensus on portfolio trade-offs and investment decisions
- Maintain regular communication cadence with key stakeholders on portfolio status
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, strategy, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Knowledge of Vertiv’s financial systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and business case development
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and other data analysis tools
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities
- Travel Requires: up to 10%
