What you’ll be doing...

Responsible for all aspects of the architecture, design, development & implementation of more than one large project. Provide a single point of contact for those projects - original concept through final implementation. Manage and lead a team of 6 or more developers to work on new product development, gathering requirements, understanding business use cases, designing systems and software and creating and executing development plans. Coordinate agile development through the Scrum/Sprint process in the development team using tools like JIRA. Lead business requirements, high level and detailed design meetings/sessions with the cross functional teams such as Product Owners, Legal, Content, IT/OSS and development teams. Lead regular meetings with internal Verizon CFTs and 3rd party vendors to integrate various software components, features and on-time delivery. Oversee end-to-end feature rollouts and deliverables for the Home Platform/Project which includes CRSP and SmartDisplay and also evaluation of new and latest technologies (open-source), paradigms, design patterns and best practices in software development. Architect and implement various projects and initiatives under Home platform. This includes various use cases like Smart Home, Wifi Sensing, IoT, etc. Proficient in cloud services architecture, Web services, MS.NET, RDBMS, NoSQL DB, Splunk and open-source technologies. Exercises and demonstrates strong decision making, judgments and creativity in resolving complex problems and obtaining results.

What we’re looking for...

Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Technical Manager or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include: 6 years with performing full stack of software development, and managing and leading development team; and 4 years performing design, development and test Web services, windows services using .NET technologies, IIS Server, RDBM, NoSQL DB and open-source Technologies, and leading design and architect of cloud-hosted Web services, IPTV/OTT features and complex back-end systems. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
