T-Mobile has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Analyst with exceptional analytical and communication skills and a talent for creative problem-solving to provide business intelligence to our dynamic business teams. A successful candidate will be ready to jump into action, working closely with experts across the legal department and business partners to provide practical, strategic guidance and design and implement creative solutions to address complex legal and technological challenges.

This role delivers advanced quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making. It involves creating internal client-centric solutions driven by data analysis, business acumen, creativity, and effective communication. The role leads the design and development of reporting structures and interfaces, administering standardized reports for cross-functional use. Success is measured by the delivery of advanced business insights and findings presented clearly through data visualizations and AI analytics to Legal audiences. The work impacts the organization by enabling informed decisions and operational efficiency within the Legal team.

What you’ll do in your role.

  • Transform complex business questions into actionable insights by integrating and analyzing data from multiple enterprise systems and sources.
  • Design and deliver executive-level dashboards, reporting solutions, AI-driven analytics and conversational AI tools that provide a comprehensive view of business performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and risks within large datasets, translating findings into recommendations that enhance operational efficiency, drive decisions, and financial performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders early in the project lifecycle to define reporting, analytics, AI chat, and data requirements, ensuring measurement and visibility are embedded in solution design.
  • Deliver key performance indicators across Legal teams to drive data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to improve data quality, AI and reporting capabilities, and analytics processes that enable scalable decision support.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by leveraging data to influence business strategy, prioritize initiatives, and measure outcomes.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives that support evolving business objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and AI solutions.

The experience you’ll bring.

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 5 years of related experience.
  • Acceptable areas of study include Business, Statistics or similar degree.
  • 7-10 years’ experience with business intelligence tools.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in reporting & analyzing performance & data visualization (Tableau; PowerBI).  
  • 7-10 years’ experience in advanced analytics including SQL/ETL of complex datasets, quantitative analysis & research.
  • 2+ years’ recent experience manipulating data and developing data interactions through AI tools such as MSFT Copilot, ChatGPT and/or Claude.
  • Experience working with Legal teams a plus.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Azure Data Services, Databricks, Data Governance, Data Modeling, Data Pipeline Development, A/B Testing, Ad Hoc Analysis, Business Acumen, Business Requirements Analysis, Competitive Analysis, Dashboard Development, Data Analysis, Data Visualization, Stakeholder Management, AI development.

Base Pay Range: $112,400 - $202,700

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
