About this role

Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

The Emerging Mid-Market segment — ambitious, owner-led businesses doing $2.5M–$10M in annual revenue — is one of Intuit's most significant growth opportunities. These businesses are overwhelmed by fragmented tools and manual work. They need automation and visibility to scale, but traditional ERPs are too costly and rigid to serve them.

QBO Advanced is Intuit's answer — an all-in-one financial platform that, combined with first-party services in Payments, Bill Pay, and HCM, acts as the autonomous consolidated back-office for the ambitious owner running lean. The vision is to help these owners delay building an in-house finance team and avoid app sprawl — by delivering an autonomous GL, real-time AI-powered insights, and industry-aware workflows that snap into the financial core.

The opportunity isn't just in the core product. It's driving fully attached Payments, Bill Pay, and HCM inside QBO Advanced. As the Principal Product Manager for QBO Advanced, you'll own the strategy to capture it.

Responsibilities

Define the end-to-end strategy for the Emerging Mid-Market segment — ICP, build/buy/partner decisions, roadmap sequencing, and outcomes across SaaS ARR, Payments TPV, and services attach rate across Construction, Field Services, Manufacturing, and Nonprofit.

Build the product-led growth strategy for QBO Advanced — designing the in-product activation, expansion, and attach motions that drive full-stack adoption without relying on sales-led conversion.

Drive Payments adoption through invoice automation, vertical-specific payment workflows, and in-field collection — and own the signals and feedback loops that compound attach over time.

Own the AP workflow through robust bill ingestion, approval routing, and three-way match — eliminating the manual overhead that defines back-office work at this segment.

Connect workforce data to the GL through payroll-to-job costing, labor cost visibility, and HR advisory — collectively removing the need for fragmented point solutions.

Define the agentic layer — agents that autonomously execute reconciliation, route approvals, flag anomalies, and surface cash flow intelligence — with confidence thresholds and escalation logic that make automation trustworthy at mid-market scale.

Drive alignment across engineering, design, sales, and marketing on a rolling roadmap — proactively solving the friction points where Payments, Bill Pay, and HCM intersect with the customer's need for an autonomous back-office.

Qualifications

10+ years in product management with deep expertise in mid-market SaaS, financial software, or ecosystem products — ideally at an accounting, payments, HCM, or AP automation platform.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree (MBA or MS) a plus.

Firsthand knowledge of how owner-led mid-market businesses operate — the gap between operational tools and the books, the cost of manual AP and payroll workflows, and what it means to run a lean finance function without a CFO.

Track record building AI-native products and PLG motions simultaneously — writing agentic specs and designing in-product growth loops with demonstrated revenue impact across SaaS ARR and services attached.

Experience owning decisions that span multiple product lines simultaneously — Payments, Bill Pay, and HCM — and driving alignment across a complex cross-functional organization toward a compounding attached outcome.

Deep knowledge of mid-market financial workflows — AP, payments, payroll-to-GL, cash flow management — and the integration complexity beneath them.

Proven ability to ship LLM or agent-powered products in production, with specs that include agent objectives, tool definitions, confidence thresholds, and escalation logic.
