Overview The Product Analyst serves as a critical connector between business partners and technology delivery teams, specializing in evaluating business problems and identifying technology-enabled, data-driven solutions. This role translates complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and analytical insights that inform product decisions. As part of Gallagher’s Digital Products organization, the Product Analyst partners closely with Product Owners, Engineering, Data, Design, and business stakeholders to define scope, gather and document requirements, analyze data, and support the delivery of scalable, cost-effective solutions. This role blends business analysis, product thinking, and applied analytics to improve processes, enhance the digital experience, and enable better decision-making across the organization. How you'll make an impact Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring alignment on objectives, constraints, and success criteria Identify, analyze, and document business needs, including functional and non-functional requirements, and translate them into user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications Conduct process analysis and problem decomposition to uncover opportunities for automation, system enhancements, and improved use of existing technology Partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement, scope definition, prioritization, and solution evaluation Analyze business reporting, systems data, and performance metrics to generate actionable insights Apply statistical analysis and data exploration techniques to identify trends, anomalies, root causes, and improvement opportunities Prepare, clean, and validate datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations to clearly communicate insights to business and IT leaders Collaborate with Engineering and QA teams to identify and resolve defects, data issues, and requirement gaps Work cross-functionally with product, data, engineering, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement in delivery quality and efficiency About You Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 3+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role (preferably in digital, financial services, insurance, or regulated environments) Hands-on experience with SQL, analytics tools, reporting platforms, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) Experience working with cross-functional teams in large, matrixed organizations Work Environment This is a hybrid role based in Rolling Meadows, IL, requiring a combination of on-site collaboration and remote work. Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position.
