About Role

As a Product Management Intern supporting Identity Recovery, you will contribute to shaping Rubrik’s strategy for protecting and recovering enterprise identity systems, with a focus on Microsoft Entra ID. Identity is the control plane of modern enterprises, and organizations require robust capabilities to recover critical identity data and restore operational continuity following cyber incidents.

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Identity Recovery, you will work on high-impact, forward-looking initiatives that inform roadmap direction and long-term product strategy. You will analyze customer challenges, evaluate evolving identity threat landscapes, and assess market dynamics to develop structured product insights and recommendations. In partnership with Engineering, Design, and Go-To-Market teams, you will translate complex identity workflows and system constraints into a clear product direction that influences Rubrik’s Identity & Security Cloud portfolio.

What You’ll Do

We're looking for curious interns who want to be entrusted with real responsibility and who embrace the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

  • Analyze enterprise identity management challenges within Microsoft Entra ID to identify high-impact product opportunities.
  • Research evolving identity threat patterns, customer recovery challenges, and regulatory considerations to inform Rubrik’s long-term Identity Recovery strategy.
  • Conduct competitive and adjacent market analysis to assess positioning and differentiation within the identity protection landscape.
  • Develop structured problem statements, opportunity assessments, and strategic recommendations to guide roadmap direction and executive discussions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and GTM teams to evaluate technical considerations and translate complex identity workflows into clear, actionable product insights.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Graduation Date: Expected completion in December 2026 or Spring 2027.
  • Availability: Ability to commit full-time to a 12-week internship program at HQ in our Palo Alto, CA Office.

Skills & Interests:

  • Technical Skills & Experience:
    • Experience analyzing complex technical systems, enterprise software, or security domains through coursework, internships, research, or prior work experience.
    • Comfortable participating in technical discussions around system architecture, data flows, and platform constraints; programming experience is a bonus.
    • Prior exposure to product management, consulting, security, infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS environments is a plus.
    • Strong ability to decompose ambiguous problems, identify core components, and develop clear tradeoffs and recommendations.
  • Interest & Domain Knowledge:
    • Demonstrated passion for cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or identity management, with foundational knowledge of enterprise SaaS environments.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting structured analysis to technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive audiences.
