About this role

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 10 years of experience in Strategy and in Product Management.
  • Experience leading cross-functional operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to synthesize data into useful formats and bring actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage executive stakeholders and communicate with a highly technical management team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.

Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) is a portfolio of hardware and software solutions that extends Google Cloud infrastructure and services to the edge and into data centers. It is designed to address challenges such as regulatory compliance, network survivability, local data processing, and low latency.

The two main offerings are:

GDC Air-Gapped: A fully standalone, isolated solution for highly sensitive or classified workloads that requires no connectivity to the public cloud or internet.

GDC Connected: A fully managed service that maintains a link to Google Cloud for centralized management while processing data locally at the edge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop market and strategic analysis, working with leadership and product management team (e.g., market sizing, buy/build/partner assessment, competitive strategy/game theory).
  • Develop commercial models, pricing/packaging strategies, business case, and financial models/projections.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, partner teams and more) to drive product-specific GTM strategies: strategic partnerships, channel strategy and incentives, customer engineering /solutions architect community/feedback.
  • Develop mid- and long-term strategies, build new products and potential measurements and attribution (M&A) business cases.
  • Provide insightful data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership, based on strategic insights, analysis, experience, technical acumen, and good judgment.
