Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated product manager to help drive the development of innovative digital products that make Disney vacations effortless. We are looking for a product manager that is obsessed with creating exceptional Guest experience and devoted to enabling our business to be future ready. This role will be in support of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Cruise Line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Insights and Needs Discovery: Analyzes, identifies and empathizes with guest needs, pain points and opportunities through in-depth market research, benchmarking against industry standards, user interviews, business interviews and internal analytics data. Unapologetically champions the Guest experience, advocating on the Guest’s behalf.

  • Alignment with Business Objectives: Partners with internal stakeholders to identify quantifiable business goals and objectives. Identifies how addressing customer needs and pain points can drive business growth.

  • Document Product Briefs: Writes feature briefs that synthesize the Guest and business needs into a cohesive strategy and business case. This includes a deep understanding of the unique needs that exist between Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Cruise Line Guest needs.

  • Document Product Requirements: Develops, reviews, and edits comprehensive user stories that include functional and non-functional requirements, business rules and gherkin acceptance criteria, ensuring that product features are clearly defined to meet the user needs, business objectives and technical standards.

  • Technology Expertise: Develops expertise around the shared and unique aspects of Disney World, Disneyland and Disney Cruise Line technology stacks, architecture, and business rules.

  • Testing: Tests, logs bugs, and closes all user stories for Disney World, Disneyland and Disney Cruise Line use cases.

  • Lead Product Deliverables: Leads and maintains the feature and backlog development, attending planning ceremonies to drive priority decisions and remove roadblocks.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with engineering, design, marketing, operations, QE (Quality Engineering), project management analytics, data scientists and executive stakeholders to ensure seamless product development and launch. Foster strong relationships to drive collaboration and innovation.

  • Communication: Regularly communicates progress, blockers, developments, risks, and issues impacting the project.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional experience with at least 3 years of working in the digital industry.

  • Proven ability to technical and user requirements with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to deliver requirements with Gherkin Acceptance Criteria.

  • Proven analytics and quantitative skills; ability to leverage data and metrics to justify project scope, make informed decisions and support strategic recommendations

  • Experience with technical, user and business issues in a fast-paced digital organization.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including an ability to communicate and influence at an executive level.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with and achieve results through others, plus the ability to build strong and balanced relationships, and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization.

  • Comfortable working with bi-coastal and international teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Object Oriented UX

  • Experience using hypothesis driven design

  • Operations experience in a Theme Park Industry

  • Experience in digital analytics, comfortable with SQL.

  • Experience with Snowflake and Tableau

  • 2+ years working on products that leverage Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning, Large Language Models, Knowledge Aggregation or Dynamic User Personalization

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $111,900 to $150,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
