About this role
Position Overview
International is looking for a customer-focused Product Owner to lead the direction and continuous improvement of SDS, our electronic service tool supporting vehicle diagnostics.
In this role, you will define the product direction, manage the backlog, and collaborate with dealers, technicians, service engineering, product development, UX, and IT to transform user needs into reliable, intuitive, and valuable capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of ownership, sound product judgment, technical curiosity, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders around shared priorities
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the SDS product vision, roadmap, goals, and priorities.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing enhancements, defects, technical debt, security, and maintenance.
- Gather feedback and requirements from dealers, technicians, service teams, product development, and IT.
- Translate user and business needs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with UX, engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and diagnostic-content teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
- Ensure SDS remains aligned with vehicle changes, software releases, diagnostic content, and service processes.
- Coordinate SDS readiness for product launches, service campaigns, updates, and field actions.
- Define and monitor KPIs such as availability, performance, diagnostic success, adoption, and user satisfaction.
- Lead delivery from concept through testing, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and product performance to stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of technical project/program management experience
OR
- Master's degree and at least 1 year of technical project/program management experience
OR
- At least 5 years of technical project/program management experience

Desired Skills
- Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar digital-product role.
- Experience managing a backlog and translating user needs into clear product requirements.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electronic service tools, dealer operations, or workshop systems.
- Experience working with business, UX, engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and IT teams.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery, product metrics, user feedback, and iterative development.
- Ability to make trade-offs, navigate ambiguity, and align multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, customer-focused, and continuous-improvement mindset.
