Position Duties
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) or a Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT).

- CONDUCT ASSESSMENTS AND DEVELOP INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT PLANS
- MAINTAIN ACCURATE AND CONFIDENTIAL RECORDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH LEGAL STANDARDS
- PARTICIPATE IN CASE CONFERENCES, STAFF MEETINGS, AND GROUP THERAPY
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: JOB APPOINTMENT
- A job appointment is a temporary job lasting up to four years; however, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
- This position may also be filled as a probational appointment if a non-temporary position becomes available in the recruitment process.
- If filled by probation, a permanent classified LA State employee, if selected, may be required to accept a probational appointment.
Compensation: This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $19.88 per hour.
This position also offers premium pay:
A rate between $2.00 and $5.00 an hour for each regular hour worked, based on years of service with DOC, in addition to regular pay.Other Important Information:

- Any degree, certificate, special license, or DD-214 must be verified by official documentation prior to hire.

- This is a 24 hour facility.
